Our good friends Huntertones were back in our studio this week to record their next full-length LP! For those unfamiliar with the group, they have a "high energy, horn-driven sound that features genre-bending composition and unconventional covers." Now based in Brooklyn, NY, they formed right here in Columbus! They've performed in over 20 countries and continue to tour in the US and worldwide. The last time they were at Vital, we worked with them to produce a music video for their Queen Mashup, which you can check out here:
The group was joined by keyboardist extraordinaire Justin Stanton and producer Louis Cato. Cato, also based in Brooklyn, is a bassist, drummer, guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer, and artist. He's"no stranger to planes, tour buses, recording studios, TV sets, liner-notes, and airwaves", and has been in the studio with many household names. Not only is he producing the album, but he's also featured on it!
To finish off the week, the band played two nights at Natalie's Music Hall & Kitchen -- and sold out both of them.
Expect some amazing new tunes from the group and stay up to date on what they're up to on social media at @huntertonesband on Instagram and @Huntertones on Facebook!
