The Columbus Foundation's annual Celebration of Philanthropy honors the extraordinary examples of generosity in our community. The Foundation is proud to present the 2020 winner of the Harrison M. Sayre Award, recognizing leadership in philanthropy in central Ohio, and The Columbus Foundation Award, recognizing organizations that have made a difference in the quality of life in our community.

Yearly Fundraiser- Virtual Event

In early April COVID-19 forced us to postpone the Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival and Parade and since that announcement the world and our organization has changed. As an organization we have undergone leadership change; reaffirmed a commitment that Black Lives Matter, that Trans Black Lives Matter; and have done work to acknowledge our misaligned moments of the past so we ensure we push a better future forward for all of us. And, yet still in July as the realities of COVID-19 settled in we realized that we would not be able to gather together in person–a possibility that looms yet for 2021. We pivoted, again, and began production on a virtual moment of Pride celebration for October 3 as we celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month with just as much PRIDE as we celebrate in June–we hope you’ll join us! On October 3rd, starting at 11:30am, we will live broadcast “Pride Parades of History” highlighting some of the last 30+ years of Pride events in Columbus. That evening we’ll ask you to join along as Lift Yourself Up goes live from the Stonewall building—join online and show your PRIDE! We also encourage participation in the first ever national Pride Stride event happening now through October 31st–register for the Stonewall Columbus Pride Stride event here.
