Music is a huge part of all of our lives here at Vital, so the opportunity to help support Jazz Arts Group and music education in Columbus was a perfect fit for us! We learned so much more about who they are and what they do, and it completely aligns up with our own values. We spent the day interviewing many of the people who are instrumental in keeping the organization running and some of the students who benefit from their programs.
The crux of the videos was individual stories. We didn't just highlight Jazz Arts Groups' programs like Youth Jazz, Columbus Community Jazz Band, or PBJ & Jazz, we also covered how they continue their monumental impact to music education by engaging with Columbus schools. We helped tell the story of how they actually connect jazz into local school systems and educational components (for instance, coordinating with band teachers and visiting the classes, or bringing talented musicians to perform for the kids).
